Thelma Elrod (Elrod) Little

Mrs. Thelma Elrod Little, 89 of Gainesville died Wednesday February 3, 2016 at her residence.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Little was the daughter of the late Alfred and Minnie Elliott Elrod. Thelma married the love of her life,  Ray Little on August 2, 1941.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Stanley Ertzberger, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Janell Little, Gainesville; daughter, Brenda Little, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Phillip Bryant, Murrayville; sister, Wilma Caphton, Savannah; sisters-in-law, Virginia Little and Evelyn Little, both of Gainesville; brother-in-law, Jack Little, Jefferson;  10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Little is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ray Little, sisters, Effie Elrod, Ruby Elrod Farr, Irene Elrod; brother, Roy Elrod.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 6, 2016 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  Rev. Steve Baker will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Friday February 5 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted but those desiring may make memorial contributions to ones favorite charity in memory of Mrs. Little.
